Steven Chamberlain and Claire deLacey operate their own environmental consultancy and have conducted extensive flora and vegetation surveys over a wide geographic range across much of Australia. They have extensive experience in the practical application of plant identification and the application of formal methods of vegetation surveys, vegetation community delineation and vegetation mapping. Claire and Steve have also designed and delivered educational seminars, presentations and training packages to a range of clients and audiences including the UNSW, and for WIRES.
Both have an extensive background of practical training in horticulture, plant identification, botany, soils and landscaping, along with qualifications in arboriculture and geographic information systems (GIS), all derived from many years of study at TAFE and University. They are members of a range of professional organisations and panels, as well as conservation organisations such as the Australian Native Orchid Society, Royal Zoological Society and the National Parks Association and wildlife care organisations. They are also authors or co-authors of scientific papers published in respected journals including the Royal Botanic Gardens journal of plant ecology in eastern Australia (Cunninghamia) and the journal of the Royal Zoological Society of NSW.

Alice Chapman is currently on leave from The Scots College Preparatory School as she studies for a Masters in Special Education at The University of Sydney. For the past three years she has been teaching Year 4 at the Scots College and prior to that she spent time teaching in London and Edinburgh. Axelle arrived in Australia in 1995. After graduating with a masters degree from Macquarie University, she became an Associate Lecturer in French Language and Culture at UTS. In 2005 she went to live overseas and after graduating with a masters degree in Conference Interpreting from the University of Geneva, she is back in Sydney where she works as a French teacher. Anne-Marie is native of France and has been teaching French as a second language to adults since 2007. Her qualifications include a TAE 40110 and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and Theatre from the UK.
Anne-Marie uses her experience as an interpreter and a translator to sharpen the understanding of the variety of subtleness between languages. Her teaching is driven by her relentless quest to provide her students with tools for learning emanating from more than 2 decades of applied research. Fields of research encompass Advanced Learning, Neuro-Linguistic Programming as well as kinaesthetic learning. Her methodology is made successful by the high level of interactivity that takes place during class time as well as cultural notes which bring France into the classroom.
To palliate for the fact that classes are weekly, Anne-Marie uses exercises which put into practice what is covered in the books. Students get audio recordings to accompany the textbook exercises, designed to make the most of what has been learnt in class. At the end of term, her students revisit their newly acquired French using a board game she has especially tailored to help everyone practice in a playful and relaxed manner.
Beth Cheal

Beth has worked in the area of driver assessment and rehabilitation for 12 years. She is a registered driver trained occupational therapist and has completed a Bachelor and Master’s of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy (USyd). She currently operates a company called ‘Rehab on Road’ and worked at Driver Rehabilitation & Fleet Safety Services at The University of Sydney for 6 years prior to this. In 2001, she became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and member of the Project Management Institute. She is a PRINCE2 Practitioner and holds Project+ certification with CompTIA. Angela has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is also a Myers Briggs accredited facilitator. She sat on the Board of Project Management Institute Sydney Chapter for two years and Nominating Committee for three years.

Jessamine Chen

Dr Jessamine Chen is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Emotional Health, Department of Psychology, Macquarie University. Previously, Jessamine was the Head of the WSLHD Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit, Westmead Hospital. Her current research focuses on psychological interventions for older adults. She is currently the coordinator of a NHMRC clinical trial study on improving mental health and social participation outcomes in older adults with anxiety and depression.
In addition to her PhD research which investigated appraisal bias under uncertainty in generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), Jessamine has been involved in a number of clinical research projects, including a prospective study examining the long-term effectiveness of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for adult anxiety disorders in an outpatient setting. Clinically, Jessamine has specialised in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders in children, adolescents, and adults for over 10 years. She has had extensive clinical experience in private and public sectors, including delivery of stepped-cared treatment for adults in a public health outpatient setting.
Jessamine has been involved in the training and supervision of provisional psychologists since 2008. She has also been an invited lecturer at a number of universities in Sydney.
