Andrea Ballesteros is an experienced translator and Spanish tutor with a passion for history, archaeology and culture. Andrea has a postgraduate degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a Bachelor of History, and a Master in Translation and Interpreting. She is a certified translator, holds the CELTA and has experience teaching English to adults. Craig Barker

Dr Craig Barker is an archaeologist and the Head of Public Engagement and Education for the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney. This includes the Nicholson Collection which houses Australia’s largest collection of antiquities from the region.
Craig has a PhD in Classical archaeology and years of teaching and archaeological research experience. He has excavated in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Australia, and is the Director of the University of Sydney’s Paphos Theatre Archaeological Project in Paphos, Cyprus.
Craig appears monthly on ABC radio for the ‘Can You Dig It’ segment and has published widely on a range of archaeological topics. He has presented many courses for CCE over the years.
Juan Carlos Barreno Galloso

Juan Carlos is an experienced language teacher, having taught Spanish for over 25 years. He has been a facilitator at the Centre for Continuing Education since 2012. Juan Carlos holds a Master of Applied Linguistics and is currently completing a PhD at the University of New England.
Juan Carlos' experience includes teaching Spanish in Germany, where he completed a Master of Science with a full scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. He has also taught French in Peru where, as a staff member of the Bureau de Coopération Linguistique, he organised French courses for Specific Purposes (medicine and hospital management). In Australia Juan Carlos has been a language tutor at various Universities. On two occasions, he participated in the international final of La Dictée des Amériques (a French orthography competition in Canada).
Juan Carlos is passionate about languages. In addition to Spanish, French and English, he also speaks German, Italian, and Portuguese, and has studied Russian, Modern Greek, and Japanese. He combines his knowledge of linguistics and world culture with a good sense of humour, delivering motivating and animated classes.

Anastasia Batagianni was born in Athens, Greece. She is a native speaker of Greek, fluent in English and French and has also studied Spanish. She has a longstanding fascination with the study of Classical and Modern Greek, which began in high school. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens and a Master of Education in Special Educational Needs from the University of Leeds. She has worked as a Languages and Special Needs teacher in the United Kingdom, Greece and Australia for 13 years.
Anastasia is a passionate proponent of Greek language and culture. Since arriving in Sydney she has worked as a Greek Language Advisor for the NSW Department of Education, engaged with local communities and promoted and coordinated the Certificate of Attainment in Greek. As a private language tutor she has experience teaching children, young adults and mature age learners. She is currently a Learning Support and Greek Language teacher at secondary schools in Sydney.

Peta is a passionate learning and development professional who specialises in team dynamics; particularly in helping organisations build conscious cultures that flow from an aligned and high-performing leadership team.
Peta started her career in sales and moved into management, before discovering learning and development. Today, she works as a training facilitator and corporate coach. She specialises in the areas of individual development and team performance and has worked for a range of government and corporate clients, designing and delivering hundreds of workshops. Clients have included banking and finance, energy and professional services as well as a number of universities.
The focus of Peta’s work is to help individuals and groups leverage their own and collective skills to create outcomes that matter while navigating the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world of today. Her key areas of work include leadership development and coaching, team readiness and effectiveness, and conflict and communication skills effectiveness.
Peta has travelled and worked extensively in Australia and overseas, including the USA, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and India. During this time Peta opened and operated a company in Singapore for a number of years.
Peta holds a Master’s in Management and has undertaken training in counselling, coaching and conflict resolution. Participants describe Peta as an inspiring and skilled presenter who likes to add fun and laughter into the mix of learning.
Melissa Baysari

Associate Professor Melissa Baysari is a human factors researcher experienced in both quantitative and qualitative evaluations of health information technology. Her research to date has focused primarily on digital health to support medication management, with a particular focus on the design and evaluation of computerised decision support.
Melissa has published widely in the areas of medication safety, electronic prescribing and decision support and her research has resulted in a number of significant changes being made to electronic medication management systems, as well as to hospital policy and work practices. She has many ongoing collaborations with government, industry and health services, and she is a Chief Investigator on six NHMRC Partnership grants. She is currently leading an NHMRC Partnership project which comprises the first Australian controlled trial of computerised alerts for hospital prescribers.
