Juan Carlos is an experienced language teacher, having taught Spanish and French for almost three decades. He has been a facilitator at the Centre for Continuing Education since 2012.

Aside from teaching Spanish, Juan Carlos has previously worked for the Bureau de Coopération Linguistique, at the French Embassy in Peru, where he organised and taught specialised French language courses. He is also a translator and has also taught French and translation courses (French to Spanish) at the Universidad César Vallejo and the Alliance Franςaise, both in Lima, Peru.

Juan Carlos holds a Master of Science from the Universität Hohenheim, Germany and an MBA from the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, Peru. He has taken courses on French Pedagogy at Alliance Française and Université Stendhal of Grenoble, and completed Linguistics course at the University of Leiden, Holland. He is currently studying a Master of Applied Linguistics at the University of New England.

Juan Carlos has a passion for languages. Aside from English and native Spanish, he is fluent in French, German, Italian and Portuguese, and has studied Russian, Greek and Japanese. He enjoys writing in Spanish and is the author of Universo Verde y Estrellas Perfumadas, a collection of Spanish poems (Published by Edit. Arkabas, Lima, 2014).
