Mrs Esty Gutnick completed her teaching degree and in 1980 graduated Beth Rivkah Teachers Seminary in Brooklyn, New York. She taught primary school-aged children until 1982. At this point, together with her husband she migrated to Australia, to assume the position of Rabbi and Rebbetzin of Strathfield Synagogue. Upon arrival, Esty taught primary aged students and concurrently assumed the role of director of a Sunday school program, in Strathfield Synagogue. Following this, Esty taught high school students, teaching a variety of subjects within the philosophy of Jewish Studies producing curriculum workbooks for both Primary and High School Jewish Studies and was actively involved in teacher training. Throughout her years in Australia, she has conducted private learning classes for text based advanced Jewish learning. Esty has been a Melton facilitator since 1999.Nejmeh Habib

Dr Nejmeh Habib has been teaching Arabic language and literature at the University of Sydney since 2003. Working at both the Centre for Continuing Education and the Department of Arabic Language and Culture, Dr Habib brings with her over thirty years of teaching and research experience and two diplomas in education. She is always looking to improve her teaching strategies and techniques, inspired by the latest theories of education and feedback from her students.
Dr. Habib’s research has been published in numerous journals and her academic books include: Literary Critiques in Poetry and Novel (2018); Visions of Exile and Return in the Palestinian Arabic Novel (2014); From Australia: Contemporary Literary Faces (2006); and Humanitarian Patterns in the Literature of Ghassan Kanafani (1999). She is the author of the novel A Spring that Did Not Blossom (2003) and the collection of short stories …And the Children Suffer (2001).
Dr. Habib is also an award winner. She received the Australia Council for the Arts Award in 2004. In 2006, she received the Gibran Khalil Gibran International Literary Award, issued by the Arabic Heritage League. In 2013, the Union of Palestinian Workers issued her the Award for Excellence, and in 2014 she received the Australian Arabic Culture Center Award for Creative Writing.

Ben has been in data science roles for 20 years with a focus on applied machine learning and natural language processing with applications in finance, news, law and healthcare. For the past 6 years, Ben has worked with start-ups building and leading teams that develop machine-in-the-loop tools to amplify human intelligence. For the past 3 years, he’s focused on digital health. Ben leads the Applied AI team at Harrison.ai, leveraging vision, language and multimodal AI for clinical medicine. Catherine has more than 15 years experience in operational and strategic management, supported by tertiary qualifications in tourism, hospitality and marketing. Her career has included the development and delivery of successful events for international five star hotel chains, cruise ships, casinos, and global travel providers both internationally and domestically.
Catherine was formerly the Manager of Sydney Marketing and Events for Tourism New South Wales, working with numerous commercial event producers and government agencies such as the NSW Major Events Unit on a variety of local, hallmark and mega events for the destination. Her current role is Managing Director of Tourism Hospitality Events Australia. THEaustralia specialises in the customised delivery of integrated sales, marketing, communications and strategic management expertise to businesses operating in the tourism, hospitality and event sectors.
James Hall

James is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a financial analyst with a background in banking and finance, private equity, M&A, and insolvency. He enjoys the creativity needed to help clients manage, understand, and simplify complex problems. He combines his technical financial management skills with qualifications as a corporate coach specialising in emotional intelligence. James is part of the faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management, where he teaches full-time, online, and executive MBA programs. He also has experience teaching in Europe and Asia.
James has extensive experience in delivering data visualisation training and workshops to clients such as Commonwealth Bank Australia (Treasury team), NSW Treasury, NSW Department of Education, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Coles, Aldi, and Novo Nordisk. He has also worked on the financial modelling of multiple road, rail, ferry, and bus bids and is a vocal advocate of public transport.

Louise Hamby is a Postdoctoral Fellow lecturing in the Museums and Collections Graduate Program at Australian National University. Louise has a strong interest in historic and contemporary material culture from Arnhem Land. Her involvement with eastern Arnhem Land women lead to the development of the exhibition that she co-curated with Diana Young, Art on a String. David Hamer is a Professor at the University of Sydney Law School. He is interested in the way criminal courts deal with evidence in determining whether to convict or acquit defendants. While often focusing on the detail of evidence law and criminal procedure, he takes an interdisciplinary approach. David’s research has regard to both the psychology and the logic of proof and draws on empirical research and formal probabilistic models. Further, his work explores how the pursuit of factual accuracy is affected by other sometimes competing concerns: efficiency, fairness, and the overarching need to provide a mechanism for settling disputes that retains public acceptance.Lisa Hamilton

Lisa Hamilton [BAppSc (Intellectual Disability), GDip (Disability Studies), MHSc (Disability Studies), PhD Candidate, Cert IV Training and Assessment] is committed to working in partnership with people with disability, their families and carers and has specialised in qualitative research and methodologies that support the inclusion and active participation of people with disability. With experience lecturing and tutoring in disability studies at certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Lisa’s teaching interests include disability theory, policy and practice, practice leadership, inclusive research methodologies and person-centred approaches. Lisa’s PhD research used ethnography to support the understanding of meanings of home for people with intellectual disabilities living in group homes and used visual methodologies, including PhotoVoice. At the Centre for Disability Studies, Lisa supports the work of the Inclusive Research Network, a group of co-researchers with and without intellectual disability.Sally Hamilton

Luke is an acting Assistant Principal at a behaviour school specialling in Emotional and Behavioural disorders.
Luke has been teaching for 8 years and in that time has taught Kindergarten to year 6, in both London and in Sydney. Even before entering the teaching field Luke worked as a Learning support officer in a variety of schools which is where he developed his passion for working with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. He has taught in London and Sydney. In London he taught at number of schools that had students requiring high needs of behaviour support.
For the past 5 years Luke has been working in a unit that is for children with emotional and behavioural disorders, that is in partnership with Coral Tree Family service. Throughout this time he has worked as a classroom teacher and as part of a multiple disciplinary team made up of education and health professionals to provide children and families with the support and assistance in dealing with behavioural difficulties.
Luke enjoys working with the children in the school, as well as providing support to mainstream teachers and schools that the children attend during and beyond their placement at the unit. He enjoys working with the children, staff and families to provide a safe, secure and happy environment.
