Dallas Cooke

Resume

Originally an English and History high school teacher, Dallas has extensive experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages, of all ages and for all purposes. He holds a Master of Education (Educational Psychology) from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Education in English and History from the University of Wollongong, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

In the early 2000’s, Dallas spent eight years in Japan where he trained TESOL teachers. He also has experience with curriculum development.

Isabella Croce

Isabella was born in Milano, Italy. She holds a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Management of Technology and Entrepreneurship from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne.

After working in several fields for almost a decade, Isabella obtained a LOTE certificate from UNSW in order to teach Italian as a second language. She now teaches Italian to children, HSC students and adults, for several institutions and schools.

Isabella develops interactive, stimulating lessons and creates a relaxed atmosphere which makes the learning process enjoyable. She delivers lessons using extensive technology and a variety of material. Isabella loves the challenge of finding the best approach to ensure everyone succeeds and reaches their goals.

Blandine Crouch

Blandine is a French national who has been teaching French at Alliance Française in Sydney for more than 15 years (European Framework A1 to C1). She has taught both general and specialised French language to adults in corporate settings and has also conducted conversation courses at both intermediate and advanced levels.

In Paris, Blandine studied at ISIT and specialised in English and German translation. She holds the Naati (English-French) accreditation and has had ongoing FLE training (French as second language) at Alliance Française.

Blandine enjoys tailoring courses and training to suit specific needs and loves sharing the French culture with her students.

John Cumming

John has been teaching for more than 20 years. During this time, he has designed courses and taught at TAFE and universities at the undergraduate and post graduate levels, including helping PhD students manage research data.

In over 30 years of programming and data management, John has consulted for many companies large and small, including Westpac, Readers Digest, PwC, Thales and a research group for Novartis.

Along the way, John has achieved qualifications including an Associate Diploma in commercial data processing, certificates in Program Design and Networking, and progress towards a Masters degree.

John’s passion for learning has seen him teach himself several coding languages and explored programming in many ways including successfully programming computers to enhance the lives of people with disabilities.

Augusto Cunha Ferreira

Gus Ferreira is a native Portuguese speaker from Brazil who has had a passion for learning and teaching languages from a young age. After Gus turned 8, he was already teaching Portuguese to his immigrant siblings from Italy.

Gus has been delivering training in Brazilian Portuguese at the University of Sydney for 10 years, establishing himself as a highly experienced language facilitator. His extensive experience has allowed him to refine his teaching methods and connect with a diverse range of students, helping them to achieve higher proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese.

In addition to his teaching career, Gus has completed a Master's in Psychology, providing him with a deep understanding of human behaviour, learning processes, and language. His background in psychology supports and guides his teaching approach, allowing him to apply evidence-based strategies to language learning. Gus’s unique combination of linguistic expertise and psychological knowledge helps his students to excel.

Gus also believes language learning is a gateway to appreciating and embracing different cultures. He encourages his students to immerse themselves in Brazilian culture through music, literature, and social interactions, fostering a deeper connection with the language and its speakers.

Ana Delgado Prieto

Ana is a dedicated language teacher with more than 15 years' experience teaching English and Spanish to children and adults. Ana currently teaches Spanish at CCE, Macquarie University, WEA Sydney and Sydney Community College.

Ana holds a various degrees, including a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and a globally recognised certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language. She has an in depth knowledge of both languages in terms of lexis, grammatical structures and phonology.

Ana is passionate about teaching and loves learning new methodological approaches to foreign language teaching. She is especially keen on the communicative method of teaching languages which is based on the idea that learning a language comes through having to communicate real meaning. Her main goal is to keep students motivated by using engaging and interactive activities. She believes that motivation is key to learning and always tries to make her classes as appealing as possible.

Peter Deutsch

Peter brings deep experience and expertise, acquired over an extensive career in the Banking and Finance sector. He held the position as Executive Director with Westpac Banking Corporation, responsible for the leadership of the global Asset Finance and Trade Finance business with assets over $12 billion and revenues of $200 million.

Peter has broad International Executive leadership acumen across all major aspects of having responsibility for a large business within a financial institution including finance, sales, risk governance, ESG, cyber and operational risk. He is skilled in strategy planning, creation, and execution, as well as people leadership, including workplace culture, mentoring, succession, and well-being.

Peter has developed strong customer relationships across various industries, including the public and private sectors and all levels of executive leadership. He is also experienced in change management and business transformation.

In addition to his industry experience, Peter undertakes workplace consulting, business training, coaching and mentoring. He helps individuals and teams create change, achieve their goals, and reach their potential.

Peter holds a Master of Business and Finance from UTS, and a Graduate Diploma in Leadership from UNSW. He is an accredited business coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation.

Peter is an enthusiastic teacher who combines his technical knowledge with hands-on industry experience. He has an engaging, authentic, and informed approach and seeks to inspire the people he works with.


Angela Di Stefano

Angela is a highly experienced teacher of Stage 6 HSC English and has taught in state, CEO and Independent schools in Sydney for thirty years. She has been English Coordinator at International Grammar School and Bethlehem College, and is currently the Senior English Coordinator at Reddam House. An HSC Marker and Senior Marker for a number of years, across Advanced, Extension1 and Extension2 English, she is constantly refining examination strategies to assist students prepare for the HSC. This background has underpinned great success at the HSC level with four of her students achieving a top ten ranking in NSW in the last ten years: 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2018.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Diploma in Education from UNSW and a Master in Educational Management and Leadership from the University of Sydney. She is involved in diverse associations such as the English Teachers Association (ETA) and Association of Independent Schools (AIS) and their conferences in order to maintain her knowledge of educational pedagogy and curriculum. She thoroughly enjoys the teaching and learning interaction with students and assisting them in achieving their goals.

Deb Doyle

Deb Doyle is the long-time proprietor of an editorial and training business, working with groups and individuals. She has been designing and delivering grammar and editing courses since 1995; providing editing, copywriting and proofreading services since 1987; and creating illustrations since 1977. She is the author of the text-workbook ‘Grey Areas and Gremlins: A grammar and punctuation refresher’ and posts a weekly ‘Grammar Guru’ column on LinkedIn. Examples of her government and corporate clients are the NSW Parliamentary Counsel’s Office, the NSW Police Training College, Service NSW, UAP (Urban Art Projects), Inner West Council, NSW Compensation Lawyers, Thames & Hudson, SBS and AMP.
