Alexander Durie

Alex Durie has been teaching chemistry since 1990 at both University level both in Australia and overseas. The organisations that he has worked for include, amongst others, the University of New South Wales in Sydney, the University of the South Pacific in Fiji and the University of Twente in Netherlands.
For many years he was involved in the development and teaching of a number of senior level chemistry and physics revision programs delivered by the Foundation Studies Program at UNSW that targeted better understanding of the scientific principles underpinning our modern understanding of the physical sciences.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemistry), A Masters of Science (Chemistry), a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. Alex is currently accredited by NESA as a proficient teacher.
An ongoing interest in both research chemistry and in teaching of science lies at the heart of Alex’s teaching.
Lindley Edwards

Lindley is an experienced corporate advisor and has worked on numerous private and public M&A and corporate transactions across sectors including food and agriculture, services, environment, technology, and education, as well as digitisation. Her work involves mergers, acquisitions, divestments, fund raising, licensing, strategic consulting, distribution, and joint ventures. Since the mid-90’s Lindley has been very active in ASEAN, the Pacific, Asia, the US, and Europe, undertaking cross border corporate transactions and strategic work. Lindley is also the Group Managing Director of AFG Venture Groupand its various subsidiaries.
Lindley holds a PhD in Philosophy as well as two undergraduate degrees, one in Accounting and the other in Banking and Finance. She also holds several postgraduate qualifications in Corporate Governance, Technology Strategy and Digitisation. She has also undertaken various Financial Services regulatory courses. She is a Senior Fellow of FINSIA, the Australian Financial Services Industry body, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Sciences in London.
Lindley has been a state finalist in the Telstra Business Women's Awards for the Private Sector with fewer than 100 employees. In 2000, Lindley was admitted to the Australian Businesswomen’s Hall of Fame. Lindley is, and has been, a non-executive director of various Australian and international organisations focused on education, digitisation, technology, and infrastructure. She has run leadership programs for Asialink and the Foundation for Young Australians.
Veronica Espin-Diaz

Veronica brings a diverse academic background and a true passion for teaching English as a second language, with expertise in linguistics, education, and translation. As a native Spanish speaker who is fluent in English, Veronica understands the challenges of learning a new language and the nuances and intricacies of English.
Veronica holds a BA (Honours) in English Philology (Linguistics), a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Masters in Advanced Language Studies (Spanish/ English). She completed the Cambridge CELTA (B) in 2018.
Having worked for several years in the UK, Veronica honed her skills while teaching and developing programs and materials for international students. She has also worked in Business and Marketing for over 10 years and provided extensive professional training to multicultural teams.
In recent years, Veronica has been developing programs and teaching both domestic and international students at a wide variety of institutions including Southern Cross University, The Hotel School and MIT Institute.
Her commitment to teaching both domestic and international students underscores her ability to connect with learners from diverse backgrounds and foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
Jacob Fahmy

Jacob is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ) and small business advisor with a passion for helping business owners understand their numbers, manage tax and achieve commercial success. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and International Management from the University of Technology Sydney, completing part of his studies at Oregon State University.
With over a decade of experience in tax, business advisory and strategic planning, Jacob has worked with hundreds of SMEs across Australia. He founded Advisory Corp Accountants, a boutique firm specialising in proactive small business advisory. The firm later merged with Latitude Accountants, where he now serves as Client Director.
Jacob is also a content creator, producing daily educational material for small business owners that has attracted millions of views across social media. He co‑hosts The Lat Chat, a podcast providing practical insights, tips and real‑world advice for entrepreneurs and SME owners.
His professional achievements include winning the Accountants Daily 30 Under 30 Awards in Business Advisory and Specialist Consulting. He is also a regular speaker at universities and professional events.

Rita Ferraro

Dr Rita Ferraro has designed, developed and delivered academic courses, with a specialisation in Spanish language, for the University of Sydney (USYD) and the University of New South Wales (UNSW), since 2002. She also introduced Brazilian Portuguese language courses to University of Sydney’s Centre for Continuing Education in 2003, which meant it was the first Australian institution to offer Brazilian Portuguese courses for adults.
Dr Ferraro has written and published a series of bi-lingual Portuguese language tuition books and in 2020, she published a book chapter that explores second language acquisition, noting the various challenges native English-speakers face in applying implicit and explicit knowledge to their language learning. Dr Ferraro is an accomplished academic author, course tutor, lecturer, and convenor, with outstanding reviews from her many students.
Dr Ferraro earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Portuguese and Spanish from Fluminense Federal University (UFF), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1996 and a PhD in Portuguese and Spanish contrastive linguistics from University of Cadiz (UCA), Spain, in 2005. She also attained various certificates such as CERT IV TAE, IELTS, ISLPR, TESOL and others.
Dr Ferraro’s interests are in advancing language learning, particularly in Portuguese and Spanish, with an expanding interest in exploring and documenting the attributes that constitute ‘best practice’ teaching methods and methodologies.
Seth Fitisemanu

Seth is currently the Head of Professional Learning at Shore and a senior English Teacher. Since beginning his teaching career in 2009, he has worked in the Government, Catholic and Independent systems and taught a range of HSC courses from English Studies to Extension 2. He has experience as an HSC marker and serves as the English Methodology Convenor at UNSW.
Seth is eager to help students develop their critical thinking and writing skills by providing a rigorous and stimulating learning environment.

Jen Galland is a senior marketing professional with over 30 years’ experience in various roles. She has taught at CCE since 2017, and holds a Bachelor of Business (Majoring in Marketing, Sub major in Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
