Level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

This course will further your ability to read, speak, listen and also write the language by covering themes including shopping, your holidays and days off, travelling, reading simple and short emails and blogs. It follows the content in the prescribed chapters of the recommended text for reference and practice between sessions.

Outcomes

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • talk about what you want to buy and where you go for shopping
  • say what you gave to someone/received from someone
  • describe what you did on your days off and how you felt about your days off
  • say what you did on your travels
  • say where you want to go next time
  • read a simple email and blog.

Intended audience

Suitable for A1 level students, those who have completed all levels of Japanese up to 103, or 70 hours of recent tuition.
