Profile

Keith Whelan has been a writer for the past 20 years. Starting life as a journalist, he has progressed to becoming an author, lecturer, publicist, copywriter, researcher, and editor.

Keith holds a Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies (major in Creative Writing), Bachelor of Public Administration (major in Business Studies) and a Master of Social Change & Development (major in Political Science). He currently teaches professional development and executive education courses at the University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide, as well as several NSW community colleges and public libraries. Keith has facilitated numerous in-house workshops as part of staff training for organisations including NSW Health, Qudos Credit Union, and the NSW Chamber of Commerce.

Keith has conducted courses for John Hopkins CTYI Program at the University of Limerick, Ireland, which have been included in several library programs for the Children’s Book Festival and Writer’s Week in Ireland.

Keith has taught at CCE since 2012 and is passionate about teaching life-long learning. He has seen the difference his one-day courses have made to peoples' professional ambition and the joy and passion people have attained from learning and feeling confident about progressing in their chosen path with the knowledge they have attained.
